Inspired by the homeowner’s love of contemporary style, a newly built townhome in East Austin is dramatically personalized for these young homeowners. Our design and execution of a grand geometric mural in energetic greens and blues now unifies the first floor with the second.
This client’s passion for shoes was the impetus for this project, beginning initially as a master closet remodel. We added custom built-in storage, including eight feet of angled, floor-to-ceiling shoe shelves with an attached bench for seating. An awkward closet layout was transformed into a dressing room plan that the couple could use together.
Following the success of the master dressing room, the scope grew to a built-in unit for the client’s active lifestyle with three lucky dogs. A previously ill-used workspace desktop had become a drop zone by the back door. With the installation of leather pull cabinets in a rich stain color the reorganized nook efficiently houses boxing gloves, tennis shoes, leashes, toys, and dog food.
A wall mounted bar added entertaining space and style to the couple’s living area. The steel and walnut bar cabinet was a custom collaboration with Amity Worrel & Co and Mockingbird Made Furniture.
