In her nearly 30 year career, she has worked with clients in Austin and throughout the US to transform their spaces and enhance their lifestyles through design. She is the principal of her award-winning design firm, Amity Worrel & Co. Interior Design for over a decade, and in addition to clients, Amity consults with current and aspiring interior designers to help guide them in their career choices.

Amity’s strength is in connecting with people, planning spaces where people can thrive and feel comfortable while also making them uniquely personal and beautiful. Project management of these comprehensive design jobs is also a specialty, as well as guiding her team of designers toward best practices so that their work is appreciated and expressed in the designs the firm produces.

Book Signing with Acclaimed Photographer, William Abranowicz at First Light Bookshop on Nov 2

We are thrilled to be sponsoring a very special Book Signing with acclaimed photographer and dear friend, William Abranowicz. Join us at First Light Books, Austin’s newest book shop in Hyde Park for an entertaining and informative book talk about this wonderful new book.

You can see Bill’s work on these Amity Worrel & Co. projects: Calcasieu Phase 2, Society Hill and Greenwich Village. And we look forward to sharing new projects he is photographing in Austin, soon!

About the author:
William Abranowicz has published three books with Vendome, including Sean Scherer’s Kabinett & Kammer: Creating Authentic Interiors, which has inspired a cult following. Mr. Abranowicz has also recently published This Far and No Further, a collection of photographs from Abranowicz’s journey through the American South Inspired by the Voting Rights Movement published by the University of Texas Press.

Over his nearly 40–year career, Abranowicz’s work has been acquired by the National Portrait Galleries of the US and UK, the Getty, as well as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and other collections. His work has appeared in countless international publications, including Condé Nast Traveler, where he has been a contributing photographer for 25 years. He is also a master printer, a licensed falconer, and an ardent environmentalist. Abranowicz lives atop a mountain in the Catskills town of Margaretville, New York.
