Bonham Terrace
This guest home renovation was inspired by their small one bedroom home nestled in Travis Heights. The clients wanted to create a serene respite near bustling downtown Austin for their visiting family and friends.
The project progressed from project management to furniture selection and styling. Tall brass vintage sconces for the kitchen nook were included in the improved lighting plan. Fabric scheming with the homeowner, with pillows and patterned blackout curtains in the bedroom, guided our vintage finds including the chest of drawers and bamboo desk. The guest house bedroom is finished with a rich antique camel blanket and art from the client’s collection.
The living room in the quaint house needed to function as many things: a place to entertain book club during the week; a host to a versatile flow of guests–from mother and grandmother to active patrons during ACL weekends! The finished furniture plan gave the room maximum seating and flexibility for the range of guests and varied activities. The custom floral ottoman is a warm welcome into the first room of the house.
