Our client’s existing primary bathroom was modern and bright, featuring a sleek design and plenty of natural light. However, over time, the wear and tear of daily use had taken its toll on the space. To revamp and refresh the bathroom, our client turned to the interior design company, Amity Worrel & Co.
Their main goal was to have the room reflect their laid-back style while addressing some challenges with the existing layout, particularly the shower. We were tasked with creating a cohesive connection between the shower and tub while also bringing the overall style more in line with the mid-century feel of the house.
To begin, we took inspiration from the existing bright and bohemian encaustic floor tile, which served as the starting point for the entire design scheme. We wanted to build upon this vibrant and eye-catching feature while incorporating elements that would tie the whole bathroom together.
To achieve this, we added a stained wood tub apron and a new above-counter cabinet storage unit, both coordinated beautifully with the existing vanity. These additions provided much-needed function and storage but also added a touch of warmth and natural texture to the space.
For the shower, we opted for a matte black mosaic tile and plumbing fixtures, which add a sense of sophistication and contrast to the room. We also incorporated small touches of brass throughout, adding a touch of glamor and refinement.
The result was stunning and cohesive while perfectly reflecting our client’s eclectic and worldly lifestyle. They are thrilled with the outcome and have even declared it their favorite room in the house. Overall, Amity Worrel & Co. was able to transform an already modern and bright space into a stylish and functional oasis that reflects the personality and taste of our client.
