Our client’s existing master bathroom was modern and bright but not holding up well through wear. They came to us to help make the room reflect their laid-back style and wanted us to think through some of the challenges with the existing layout, specifically the shower. Once we worked through the technical issues, the changes provided a cohesive connection between the different shower and tub materials and brought the style more in line with the mid-century feel of the house. The bright, bohemian, encaustic floor tile was the starting point for the scheme. A stained wood tub apron and new above-counter cabinet storage coordinate with the existing vanity. Matte black mosaic tile and plumbing mixed with touches of brass bring sophistication to the room. It now exemplifies their eclectic, worldly lifestyle and is their favorite room in the house!
