Bellvue
We first met this client a few years before the Bellvue project when they had approached regarding a remodel. After working with them on expanding the home they were in at the time, they came to the conclusion to build a new house instead. They brought us onboard with their architectural team for the design of the new custom home.
The new family-friendly home featured an inviting, gallery-like aesthetic with a vibrant color palette. To accommodate the family’s specific needs, we designed the kitchen and cabinetry that suited their preferred style of cooking. We assisted with plumbing, lighting, countertops and tile selects that complimented their European-influenced aesthetic, including an integrated drainboard–a new standard for discerning kitchen designs. We also created a custom bench cushion for the kitchen table nook to complete the most-used space in the house–the living room and kitchen.
To maximize usable space for the family, we all focused on optimizing the family’s screen porch. A festive porcelain tile served as an extension of the interior finishes connecting to the porch. We layered an area rug and customized a fully-upholstered large outdoor sofa. The indoor/outdoor performance fabric played upon the client’s artistic style, complimenting the bold colorstory of the house. The addition of found rattan chairs mixed effortlessly with a colorful hammock across from a bistro table and chairs, creating what is now their outdoor living room. The whole family, along with their dog, now enjoys a new favorite place for afternoon naps.
