Hyde Park
The Hyde Park project began in 2015, prompted by a young family eager to create a space that could keep pace with their busy lifestyle. Fast forward five years, and Amity Worrel & Co. and our Austin design team rejoiced in revisiting this project in 2020, excited to delve into the next chapter of interior design innovation.
The bedroom suite, multi-purpose home office, and media room stood at the forefront of our creative reimagining. Our mission was clear: to infuse each space with a touch of contemporary luxury while honoring the Craftsman architecture that wove through the heart of the home. Envisioning a sanctuary of opulence and comfort, we handpicked a custom blush and black rug that anchored the primary suite with a sense of refined elegance. An upholstered headboard wall juxtaposed against vibrant graphic drapery lent a contemporary edge, while vintage accents such as a chest and playful rug instilled warmth and character, harmonizing the color palette into a cohesive tapestry of sophistication.
In the bathroom, an oversized organic soaking tub emerged as a focal point, inviting indulgence and relaxation. Echoing the bedroom’s palette, a vintage Moroccan rug and an original painting intertwined colors and textures, forging a seamless connection that echoed throughout the suite. Outside, a subtle yet impactful shift in paint colors breathed new life into the home, aligning its aesthetic with the contemporary spirit that permeated the interior, thereby unifying the abode with its surroundings in Hancock Park.
